We went to the ENT doctor on Monday. He definately could see fluid in her ears and recommended having the tubes inserted into her ears. He said she hears everything really muffled like when on an airplane and you need to pop your ears. Only her ears never pop. After the surgery she should notice a big difference. I am hoping she can tell us.
So on Friday the 24th my little girl is having her first outpatient surgery. She got in so soon as they had a cancellation on that day! I figure take care of it sooner than later as we have been waiting since January. We will have to be there at 7:30 approx in the morning. They arrange the surgery by the order of youngest first so they don't have to wait all day to eat. The procedure should take less than an hour.
I am just hoping she won't be too scared. I will update on Friday after it is all done.

Both of my girls had tubes when they were 22 months. They were 14 mos. when they got their first ear infections and then every 5 weeks after. Let me tell you what a wonderful difference the tubes will make! They could hear better, they could talk better, and they slept better. We have had 0 problems with ears and it has been almost a year now. The "procedure" is different for each child but our girls were out of our arms for a total of about 15-20 minutes. Recovery was immediate. We all went out to breakfast afterwards ! I hope and pray it is as easy for Camryn.
