New toy

We got a new Nook for Father's Day.

It has been fun learning to play on our new toy.
I love that I can check out photography books now, and read magazines.

Cupcake Camp

A local church offered some fun camps, and I signed the girls up for the cupcake decorating class.

One of the days during the week, we had to bring 2 dozen cupcakes to contribute.

 they made strawberry lemonade cupcakes

one of the cute hamburger cupcakes they made

they were so cute.
It was a fun class, although by the end of the week we were all sugared out for a bit.  lol

Good Deed

 Miss A

 Miss C and Sophie

Both girls donated about 9 inches of hair to Pantene Great lengths
to provide women who have lost their hair wigs made from donated hair.
I am so proud of them for choosing to donate.  I had suggested it to them last year and they were not open to the idea, somehow this year they were ready.  I think their new cuts are adorable!

Spring Fever

I took the girls out of school on 5/10 so we could go to the Arizona Botanical gardens in search of the last signs of spring.

this little guy/gal stood there quite a while posing for us.

 my budding photographers

the cactus and wildflowers were blooming and the garden was full of photographers.

 check out those yucca blossoms....gorgeous

there were many interesting art installations throughout the garden,
this one reminded the girls of an actual human heart.

 there were also nesting birds

 butterflies

and tons of flowers
It was a national free day to various botanical gardens, we really appreciated the free admission.
