At their last dental appointment the girls dentist recommended that A and C visit an orthodontist to check out their teeth and see if they are going to need braces in the future.
We had our first appointment 4/21. Dr. W. the first ortho says that they will need braces but both of them can wait until they are 11 or 12 before beginning. Especially as both girls were really nervous going in to the appointment. If we go with this doc we will see him once or twice a year to build a relationship and by the time it comes to apply the actual apparatus they will be more familiar with him and his staff. I love this gentle approach.
We see one more the beginning of May. Our dentist recommended we visit a few offices to find a good doctor that will work with our girls. I think this is a good approach so far. The initial office visits are complimentary too.
