Project 64: Lavendar

 from a distance

up close...and quite thorny to boot.
(my fave)

I stumbled upon these gorgeous cactus at the riparian preserve.  I just love their unique color.
Believe it or not...I took these photos before I knew what the color for the week was.
I came home and saw it was lavendar...and not a typical lavendar either.  The lavendar in a crayola box of 64 is quite different....and I think it is here....on the cactus.

Wow, these are really great! I never knew there were purple cactus out there! I love both shots, but I love the close up best. I'm a macro kind of girl! Beautiful!!!

What a great find. I never would have believed that someone would submit a cactus for this color!

I've never seen a lavender cactus! Despite the thorns, it's quite lovely, and unusual on top of that.

This might be the most original 'lavender' I have seen. Very cool. Thanks for visiting P64!
