Last weekend we took a short trip up to Williams Arizona to take a ride on Thomas the train on the Grand Canyon Railway. We left on Friday morning, our tickets for the train ride were for 3:45 pm that afternoon in Williams. I could not get tickets for the Saturday train rides, which turned out to be a true blessing as they were expecting 4000 people on Saturday versus 1000 on Friday. There were no lines and we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. It was really fun. They had it set up so you went to different stops around the depot. A and C got temporary tattoos of Thomas at one, storytelling at another, arts and crafts, bouncy castles at another.

Yikes we are surrounded! Feeding the deer in Williams, AZ We spent the night in Williams and on Saturday we visited the Grand Canyon Deer Farm and got to feed the many deer they have. The girls loved feeding the animals although at times it was overwhelming as these animals are pushy to say the least :). http://deerfarm.com
After the Deer Farm we took the scenic route to Sedona through Oak Creek Canyon. We stopped at the scenic overlook right before the Canyon and let the girls stretch their legs. We bought the girls a necklace at the Indian traders selling there. We ate lunch in Sedona and then decided to take another drive through Jerome ending up in Prescott.
We had a great trip. The girls traveled extraordinarily well and we don't have a portable DVD player in the van. I think we will get one if we drive to San Diego this summer though. lol

That sounds like a great time Vicki! I hope that Thomas makes a stop close to here sometime. You'll like having the DVD player but it sounds like they do great without it too. :)
Vicki that sounds like a great trip. I wish I had known about that trip. Are they still there? Hey when are you going to San Diego? We will be going July 23rd. :)
