Here is a copy of the email update I sent out on Friday to our friends and family.....
We got out of the house on time this morning! We left without anyone eating so Miss C would not feel left out. We dropped Adrienne off at a friends house and Camryn was so sad she could not stay and play as well.
Before the surgery I gave her a special surprise of a new stuffed animal poodle. She loved it and held onto it when the nurse took her in. The longest part of the whole surgery was getting there an hour early to wait. As soon as her name was called it went really quickly. The total surgery was 15 minutes max if not less. After he put the tubes in the doctor took some really thick fluid from her left ear and not as thick from her right. She woke up cranky but she does that here at naptimes as well :) The nurses were surprised at how strong she was....she only wanted mommy or daddy to hold her.
She really was back to normal very quickly. By the time we picked up Adrienne and let her play she was sliding on their slide and riding on a tricyle. We went out to lunch afterwards and she ate really well. So no lasting or ill effects here. We go back to the the dr. in a month and I asked and he said he would do an in office hearing test then.
I really appreciated all your prayers. I think that the whole morning was really peaceful because of all of your prayers and thoughts of us. Attached is a picture of her less than an hour after surgery. Thanks again our family appreciated all the kind notes and encouragement.
Vicki, Luis, Adrienne and especially Camryn
